Miranda: Something funny?
Andy: No, no, nothing. You know, it's just that both those belts look exactly the same to me. You know, I'm still learning about all this stuff.
Miranda: This... “stuff”? Oh... ok. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don't know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise... it's actually cerulean. You're also blindly unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar De La Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves St Laurent, wasn't it, who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of 8 different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic casual corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. 米兰达:这些玩意儿？你称呼它们为这些玩意儿？哦，好吧，我明白了。你以为你和时尚毫不相关。你在自己的衣柜里挑了件又粗又笨的蓝色毛衣穿，想告诉全世界你有多么重视你自己，以至于完全可以忽略你身上的衣装。不过你根本不懂，你穿的毛衣不仅仅是单一的蓝色，它不是湖蓝色的，实际上是天蓝色的。你对周遭的流行趋势视而不见，事实上，2002年，奥斯卡·德拉伦塔就推出了蓝色晚装系列，圣罗兰早就展示过蓝色军用夹克系列。继而蓝色迅速出现在八位顶级时装设计师的作品当中。接着它渗透到百货公司甚至是廉价的小店中。显然正是在这里的清仓柜台上，你搜罗到了这件毛衣。其实，蓝色象征着无数美金的进账和难以计数的工作机会。你以为你不受潮流影响，这真是太好笑了。事实上，你穿的毛衣是这个房间里的人在你所谓的这堆“玩意儿”里替你选出来的。
