  A Review on Reading Disability of Autistic Spectrum Disorder Students

  Abstract The study on the reading of students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) has been carried out for around two or three decades in other countries while in China it's only at the beginning stage. As some ASD children with academic abilities start to enter primary schools,their learning abilities and typical features,especially the issues about their reading strategies and the improvement of their reading abilities,have drawn more attention and concerns from their parents and teachers. On the basis of the related foreign researches,this paper introduces and analyzes the features,mechanisms,and intervention principles of reading of ASD students,and gives some suggestions on how to carry out the related reading research of ASD children in China with combination of traits of Chinese characters.
